kuiper chapter 11

Q. How can you determine data sources?
Answer:
Defining potential data sources is a part of the development of a research plan.
-Data need.
-Primary versus secondary data.
Q. What is evaluating data sources?
Answer: Before using any data sources, we have to sure the source meets three criteria:
1. Validity:
Validity is a measurement concept that refers to the extent to which differences revealed with a measuring tool represent true differences among the people or objects being measured.
2. Reliability:
Reliability is a measurement concept that refers to the consistency of results obtained with a measuring device.
3. Practicality:
A final criterion by which you must judge potential data sources is practically.

Q. What is sampling data sources?
Answer:  To understand sampling concept we must understand five terms: population, element, sample, subject, and population frame.

Q. Write characteristic of a valid sample?
Answer:
1. Accuracy
2. Precision
3. Sample size

Q. Write down the kinds of sampling?
Answer: Sampling design fall into two major categories: probability and non probability, these are given below,
Probability sampling:
1. Simple random sampling
2. Systematic sampling
3. Stratified random sapling
4. Cluster sampling
5. Area sampling
Non probability sampling:
1. Convinence sampling.
2. Purposive sampling.
